great flag, need help with the pole!

I love your flags, but am struggling with how to connect them to a small wooden flagpole. I got the flag clips that you sell, but that doesn’t address the pole part. I don’t need a halyard, because these will be permanently affixed to small wooden poles, so they can be thrown into fishing pole holders to keep birds off my boat. What sort of knot affixes your flag clips to the pole?
